Do ye by one another
As ye would be done by
For between us stands a feather's breadth
And above, our common sky.
—Beaky
Once upon a time, a fox and a chicken chanced to meet. Now you might think, because of the way such encounters usually turn out, that the beginning of the tale would also be the end of it. But because this particular chicken was a very savvy bird, and the fox a most innocent fellow, things took a surprising turn.
Across a sweep of centuries and far-flung lands, this unusual pair met time and again, drawn together by the force of circumstance and a mysterious affinity neither one could explain. Of their many adventures, several have been written down and gathered into a volume. It is called Beaky Chronicles.
