Manhattan Skyline World Trade Center — 1973. Location: New York City.
Status: Feasibility study.
Each office in the World Trade Center Towers would be provided with a marked calendar. At the end of each day, the participating employees would consult their calendars, leaving the lights in their respective offices on or off as indicated. This study was developed with a grant from the Architectural League of New York. It was presented to the Port Authority, and rejected due to the current energy crises, and their lack of willingness to draw further attention to the Trade Center Towers. -- Allan Wexler
