calder wtc stabile

Alexander Calder's WTC Stabile was commissioned by the Port Authority in the late 1960s. For years, it stood at the Northeast corner of the WTC site on Vesey and Church Streets as the artist expressly desired. Here the sculpture, moved to the plaza in front of 7WTC, serves double duty as a Port Authority toolshed. Snapshot, late '90s.
